Like you would a PayPerView or is streaming the only way?

Streaming is the way.. and much much cheaper than ordering it through DirectTV

Internet is shitty slow where I’m at is why I’m asking if there is a way to order it through PPV.

I doubt it. See if you can get a trial subscription for ESPN+ or just pay for one month for $6.99.
ETA: Just saw your response above. My condolences.

I don’t think you can get it by just paying for ESPN+. I think you need SEC Network on your cable/satellite/streaming service to login.

I have SEC Network on my DirecTV package but I don’t see anywhere I can buy the game on any of the alternate channels.

I don’t think you can buy it like that. But since you have SECN in your DirecTv package, you can sign into the ESPN app and enter your DirecTv login info and you will be able to stream the SECN+ games. No fee.

If you get SEC network in Directv you automatically get SECTV+. It is the channel after 611. It will not probable appear unitil just befor kickoff

I think that is the SECN Alternate channel you are describing. Not the same as SECN+, which is streaming only. Could be wrong, but I think I’m right.

You're correct. This game isn't on traditional television. It's internet streaming only.
If you subscribe to a TV provider, you use your provider login and password to login to the ESPN app.
If you don't subscribe to any TV service, you'll need to sign up for ESPN+.

ESPN+ is a streaming service, but only for certain things like many Conference USA games, boxing, hockey, soccer, etc. It does not give you access to all ESPN streaming. It's a supplement to the ESPN/SECN programming, not a substitute.
You'll need a cable /satellite package to watch basic ESPN/SECN programming.
It's ridiculous that this is so complicated. The same confusion comes up over and over. I'm not sure if it is due to stupidity of the ESPN marketing team or if they like and promote the confusion.

I stand corrected. What I posted above is generally true, but ESPN+ has a new deal to stream some early season cupcake SEC v non-con games, including LSU/McNeese.

It really isn't that complicated. ESPN+ is a stand alone streaming service for select things that aren't included in your ESPN viewing package.
The SECN+ is included in your SEC Network package and you can watch SECN+ via the ESPN app on your mobile device, computer or Smart TV.
