I know St Amant has been to the quarters 3 times. Nothing past that. Dutchtown might have, back in the Landon Collins and Eric Reid days. They were really good then. EA might have, but I’m not sure. They've been around the longest. I’m pretty sure it does say that Gonzales High School won a state championship in like the 50s or sometime around then. I saw that scrolling through a state championship program one year. I don’t know if that would count though since Gonzales High School doesn’t exist anymore.

Correction, it actually says St Amant lost to Ferriday, in the 1A state championship game in 1956, 13-0. Would love it if someone had any info about St Amant high school in those days. The St Amant High School of today was founded in 1978. I hear people talking about the old St Amant Wildcats, don’t know if that was the team those people are referring to.

despite the influx of Katrina talent. Not very far.
