Is there a second application for generator/chainsaw specifically? If so, i didn't see anything.

For Laura I called them and they said I had to do an appeal asking specifically for generator reimbursement.

If they would have told me right then that you had to have a medical reason to get the reimbursement it would have saved me a lot of wasted time

What if I bought the generator and chainsaw through my company, but I own the company.....can I still get reimbursed?

I already got denied once....not sure if I can reapply or file an appeal and if it would even matter

See the response below for the response I received after sending an email to askia@fema.dhs.gov asking how to get the reimbursement for generators purchased only due to power outages caused by hurricane Ida.

Thank you for contacting FEMA and giving us the opportunity to assist you. ?

The medical condition and the power outage verification documents have been waived for disaster #4611. If you had to purchase a generator due to power outages or a chainsaw to remove downed trees, please send a copy of the proof-of-purchase or rental receipts for the generator/chainsaw.

You may fax your documents to 1-800-827-8112, upload to your online account, or physically mail correspondence to:

FEMA - Individuals & Households Program
National Processing Service Center
P.O. Box 10055
Hyattsville, MD 20782-8055

Please write your name, last four digits of your social security number, disaster number and registration number on your receipts and keep a copy for your records. We do not have a program to assist with fuel cost reimbursement.

We hope this information is helpful in addressing your question.?If you have any further questions or need additional clarification, please contact the FEMA Helpline at 1-800-621-FEMA (3362).??If you use a TTY, call 800-462-7585. If you use 711 or VRS, please call 1-800-621-3362.

Sincerely,
