Berhalter says Pulisic did not travel, listed as day-to-day and will check status when they return to Nashville.

Also says Zack Steffen did not travel due to back spasms and Matt Turner is starting.

Is Zack Steffen the most injury prone keeper of all time?

Depends on if you think Steffen is better than Turner.

I think it's 50/50 at this point, but Turner with a good showing tomorrow could take over the top spot. Like if Turner stands on his head tomorrow, good luck trying to rationalize benching him against Canada for Steffen coming off of injury,

Starting to give Bill Hamid a run for his money.

Doesn’t even matter

Turner deserves to start he’s in form and plays week in and week out

Steffen barley plays

I get that but he’s at one of the best clubs in the world and is getting top notch training daily.

Turner is playing all the time but at a lot lower level.

Actual matches especially at GK is more important than training

The lack of quality defending in MLS will definitely keep a GK sharp

Zak getting 15 matches a year will end up being detrimental to him in the long run. Especially bc he’s not the type of keeper for Pep’s system

The only GK it really seemed to work for was Romero at United and Argentina.

Steffen has done fine when he's been called upon for the national team. He's also one of the best backup keepers in the Prem.

Hell, he's better than half the starters. I'd take him over Pickford between the sticks tomorrow if I were an Everton/England fan

Turner is our best shot stopper, just not great with his feet.

He’s been ok, not great. The lack of matches shows sometimes

Zach Stefan isn’t that great with his feet. Matt Turner is a top tier shot stopper, would take him over Stefan anyway.

He's pretty good. Horvath is the best of the bunch in that aspect.

Steffen is the most well-rounded of our three keepers.

I think against CONCACAF minnows, Turner is the best option because of his shot-stopping capabilities. Against good World Cup-tier teams, I think I'd rather Steffen. However, I'm not married to that take. I think we have a Keller/Friedle situation on our hands this qualifying cycle with Horvath in a glass case to break in case of emergency.

Even when arguing for an MLS player to start SCH gets a good jab in at MLS

Additional detail regarding Cuscatlan: Told that official capacity will be capped at 29,000 tomorrow.

Also fans will be allowed to enter beginning at 11:30 am local time. Kick is at 8:05. Gonna be wild.

I mean it’s not false what I said

The league puts an over emphasis on its best players/DPs being quality attacking players

Who end up going against lower quality defense, it makes it exciting and laughable at times

But MLS keeps are usually very active

Regardless Turner should be the number 1 now

Zak can’t be a back up much longer if he doesn’t want to get permanently passed in the pecking order

As the player pool keeps getting deeper and higher quality just being in a top European league won’t be enough to ensure a spot like it used too.

Steffen despite being at a huge club has failed to impress in most of his national team appearances. Also he’s typically had one WTF moment per game. To me he’s a distant second to Turner and probably below Horvath as well
