All the talk this off-season has been about LSU’s ability to rush the passer, but that can only matter so much if the team doesn’t stop the run and get in winnable third downs. Glen Logan is strong against the run and he’ll be missing. Yes Hawaii is terrible, but these running backs aren’t just running through air. That and UCLA’s left tackle is a legit NFL prospect. This will be a good test for LSU’s run defense and our young LBs. looking forward to seeing how they fare.

I agree UCLA will be tough, but looks like they’re running against air to me.

I think the biggest test will be how our offense handles their aggressive D

If lsu cannot run the ball at will against this tiny d-line, there is an issue.

UCLA having a game this week was a good thing. They certainly have LSU’s attention now. They should have sandbagged

Dude those running backs have huge holes to run through. Chip Kelly knows darn well that won’t be the case against LSU. It wasn’t the case last year for the most part. Every once in a while someone would break a big run but never ran consistently against us. We have some huge guys to put in there. Gay is also a run defending DE. Actually he was already good in that area, it was his pass rush that needed work.
