I don't know the actual numbers, but I have to agree with LL on this .. most Italians use Barilla if buying a store bought sauce. My Sicilian family does, anyway. I guess that's why I'm the only other one on this thread to suggest it.

For some reason, most of you equate Barilla with Ragu, Prego, Hunt's, etc. just because it's on the shelf ... as though Rao's isn't. Rao's just cost more.

I’m pretty sure she was talking about their pasta, not their sauce. I didn’t even know they made sauce.

When I first started using Rao’s, it wasn’t that well known here, and it was hard to find on the shelf. I was looking for a sauce without added sugar, and Rao’s was recommended on low carb recipe sites. Bonus: It’s delicious! Actually, their pizza sauce was what I found first. I’m thrilled that it is now so easy to find.
