People actually think defense matters in a pick up game.

I mean when one guy (Dinwiddie) looked significantly better and playing defense than the rest, I think it proves it does matter. I understand being a good defender in the league doesnt mean just one on one defense. It means being engaged in general, sticking to your assignment, but understanding/knowing when when to switch, working through picks, etc. But Im not saying "Oh crap he sucks on defense because losing one on ones in the gym" Just saying that he did look pretty impressively offensively one on one but not as much on the other side

if halfcourt do you keep the ball after a make. if so defense matters.

Those guys have pride bro, NAW knew he was being filmed just like Dinwiddie knew as well and locked NAW up for the most part.

Look I'm not saying NAW is a scrub, and still won't have a possible breakout out season. But I hate when folks get uncomfortable about something they see they start copping excuses like "but that's not a real game, that's just for funsies, etc."

Both can be true man, I just find it hard to believe that NAW wanted to get cooked like that on camera especially since he seemed like he was actually trying.

So why it was mattering to Dinwiddie? Why did NAW get frustrated when Dinwiddie was scoring on him, shaking his head and even taking his shirt off towards the end of the game?

Like I can tell some y'all don't play ball in real life man lol.

That wasn't a pick up game. They were practicing offense and defense one on one in the final seconds of the shot clock.

A stop got you the ball if you were on defense (Dinwiddie had the ball a ton because he barely could be stopped). Defenders rotated out if they got scored on while the scorer kept the ball.

So yes defense mattered a great deal.
