I was specifically referring to the charts in the link that MS Department of Health put on their website.
They are comparing vax. vs. unvaxed by age for cases, hospitalization, and deaths. However, instead of using a more meaningful comparison of let's say May - August, they are starting with January to start counting cases. This obviously would bump up the unvaxed cases as most people at that point in January would have been unvaxed.
For the cases chart, it shows a dramatic difference between vaxed and unvaxed. However, cases for vaxed individuals are not tracked unless they have severe cases (not tracking mild or asymptomatic cases).

The exact numbers are on the CDC website.

I think he is going for the same type of "gotcha" people are using with the Isreali data that shows 59% of the hospitalized are vaccinated, which is true. But having such a high percentage vaccinated muddies the waters. Currently in Isreal, the rate of hospitalization is 154.7 per 100,000 people for unvaccinated compared to 19.8 per 100,000 vaccinated individuals.

Agreed. The fact that cases for vaxed individuals are not accurately tracked is very concerning.
The conspiracy theorist in me wonders if this lack of tracking is being done on purpose. For instance, it could show that vaccinated individuals are a larger part of the spread of Covid even though they are asymptomatic.

That is not what your link shows at all.
How does your mind work?
Clearly the chart shows that of the positive cases right now 98% were unvaccinated.
Cleary the chart shows of the cases that required hospitalization 11% were vaccinated.
Clearly the chart shows of the cases that died 13% were vaccinated.
How can you possibly say these numbers mean the vaccine does not work???
Only two percent of the total cases in the state that are positive are vaccinated.

Lol. His own data is stating that only 35% of his state is vaccinated and that 35% is accounting for 11% of Hospitalizations. 65% that isn't is accounting for 89%. But this shows the vaccine "really isn't effective". Baws gotta watch that math. It's like a pet cobra. You think it's your friend and then it turns around and bites ya.

That is what the chart shows, but I do not believe this is correct. Cases for vaccinated individuals are not being accurately being tracked. Don't know how far off it is since the information is not being reported.

His point is that when people are claiming it's the unvaccinated causing the issues that the numbers tell the story.
If you have 100% vaccinations then your numbers will be from the vaccinations at a 100% rate. 100% not vaccinated... 100% of the numbers will be from the not vaccinated.
So saying it's unvaccinated people is BS. There is a blend in every state. What are the %s...
That makes sense. Thanks.

You are as dumb as a damn brick. I stated the cases were higher. I gave no indication of which catagory they are in.

Holy shite. What Did the OP say? current hospitalization are from unvaccinated at a rate of 89%.
What's 11% plus 89%?? Dumb arse!!

Same as above. DUMB arse!
Of the deaths, again, per the state, 87% of the deaths are from the unvaccinated. What is 13 plus 87... Dumb arse!

Correct, nor is it tracking who has had it and returning to the hospital.
They off zero comparison.

Unbelievably stupid to say that the vaccine doesn't work and use these number to try to prove it, dumb arse.

In your mind... with this data.. What is the effective rate of good it's doing?

Do the math. Don't forget. 12.8% of the population has had covid and thus has antibodies. 35% is vaccinated (per the state numbers).
what % of effectiveness is the vaccine?

Of those 2,966,407, we have had 381,147 cases. That's 12.8% of the population that has been infected, leaving 87.2% that has not had covid.
So, your numbers ignore a population that has been infected, built an immune response, and never knew they were infected. They are immune.
If you know the percentage of 65 an older that have been infected, then you know THE MINIMUM percentage of 24 and under that have been as well. Just stands to reason that exposure affects age groups equally.

They do. You are correct. Many people think they have had it, but don't really know.
We are now waiting on the math from IB Chinaman

Everything is shite and can’t be trusted based off of that alone… No fricking way only 13% have had covid
Now as far as the vaccine, its simple. It reduces effects, however it doesn’t prevent the spread from all indications.
So, if youre old or have comorbidities, you should get the vaccine. If you’re healthy, there’s really no point. The mantra of protecting other people is bullshite, you’re only protecting yourself at this point and even then, young and healthy are running the unknown risk of long term effects.
Make your own decision based off of yourself.

You can't do the math to justify what you are saying.
The only number that counts is the 2% of the positive cases were vaccinated.
The death and hospitalization rates have too many variables--for example, by far the majority of vaccinated are over the age of 65.
