Waters was a point guard, Mays was a 2 guard who got a lot of open looks off of dribble penetration by Waters. Waters wasn’t spotting up the way Mays was so it stands to reason who’d have the higher percentage. Duop Reath shot a higher percentage than both Naz Reid and Trendon Watford but you don’t see people saying he was the better player. These are the stupid arguments you get when people like Lester ignore reality then take carefully selected qualifiers and base a total evaluation on that bias. It’s why he’s known as the worst player evaluator on the Rant regardless of the sport.

I think of Skylar Mays as a two-guard a lot more than a true PG, although he was capable when called upon.
For me, Tremont was the best PG I've seen at LSU in a long, long time. That kid was a lot of fun to watch when he heated up and started making ridiculous off-platform scoop shots, too.
