Dell Computer Shipping Delays

Does anyone have any experience with ordering a new Dell computer lately? I ordered one about a month ago and the build has still not yet entered production. I know things are delayed because of the current state of things and the shortages on supplies, but I'm wondering how long the delay is, if anyone knows? When I ordered they said my expected delivery date was September 10, but I'm wondering if that is a real date or just a random date that they have no intention of keeping. I don't mind waiting until September, but if the reality is that I'm not getting my computer for 4 - 6 months, then I'd rather cancel my order and find something else that is currently in stock somewhere.

Ordered one over 4th of July…arrived in 3 days

Ordered 140 All in Ones and second monitors the last week of July. Got all the monitors a week ago, computers are supposed to ship end of September. The monitors came in two partial shipments, I expect the computers to come the same way. They are behind like everyone.

I have 100 on order since may, not recieved. Had to buy a few from staples to tide me over. We got a quote for 180 monitors last week, October to ship. Welcome to the new world.

Our company ordered hundreds in April. Were supposed to be ready last week. Have been pushed to October.

PMICs along with other components remain in short supply.
Priority orders are jumping the line for parts and systems. Expect things to continue on this path for a while.

I order for business. I ordered a laptop in June. Still have not recieved it.
Estimated ship date isn't until October.
