Man, the zip Drew had on his ball then was remarkable compared to what he retired with. Even then, he didn't have some crazy arse arm strength or anything, but that tells you how much he fell off.
The throw to Lance Moore up the seam to take the lead and then to Jimmy Graham on 3rd and 10 in the fourth quarter are what I'll always remember Brees as. You've got our guy blanketed 20+ yards downfield, but you can't cover him when Drew wants to take his shot/put it in his spot.
We'll never see another like Drew.
PS: Did we ever have a more fun WR to watch than Lance Moore? The dude having fun, and his celebrations, are something of my childhood I don't think I'll ever forget.
