Ghost and the Darkness (1996)
Critics hated the movie, but I’ve never met someone who didn’t like it. It’s not some profound piece of filmmaking, and Kilmers accent coming and going is a bit annoying. But it’s one that I think really holds up well for being 25 years old

that was the first R rated movie (it's incredibly tame by today's standards) i let my kids watch and they both loved it.

I just finished ghost and the darkness. Meh. Nice visuals, but the story wasn’t great. Also, the jump scares where lions are jaws didn’t do much for me.
