this year, it would appear.

As usual, the SEC is overrated. I am not impressed with Georgia--as always,a good team, but not national championship material.

Auburn will be lucky to win 7 games this year.

Florida sluggish.

LSU overrated again (may actually lose to Ole Miss for the first time in years this year).

Alabama may be the best team in the SEC.....and the ridiculous thing is that, given the BCS bias in favor of the SEC, it may still get a team in if USC or Oklahoma lose even one game.

USC and OU do look good in HD TV..blowing out teams..

long way to go..

The SEC never looks as good offensively as OU or USC for example..

But OU has lost 2 NC games in a row, and USC lost to Vince Young....

So they are beatable in the big games...don't kid yourself..SEC looks ugly right now..but come the end of the year...someone will emerge a team to reckon with...

Well I suppose we shouldn't expect a team irrelevant to the national title picture to give us accurate analysis of the national title picture.

That was not the best USC team in the last few years--overall, at least.

And the OU team that LSU played had no business being in the BCS championship game, as you all know all too well......

If I only had a nickel for every season that I've heard this statement only to see neither of the above-mentioned teams with a BCS championship trophy, or much less either one of these teams even in the BCS Championship game...

I said might, not would. No sensible Ole Miss fan would ever predict a win in a big game.

But the fact is that, most years, you barely eek out a win against Ole Miss, and one of these years, you are not going to escape at the buzzer.....the percentages dictate it.....

Well had OU not lost to KSU that year, they would have been a 14 point favorite over LSU..

team of the decade they were labeled..

USC slid in to number one after OU lost the week before...

No, they should have not played in the game, but those were the rules

USC needs to add a conference championship game..

The percentages should have dictated Ole Piss would have won a SEC title also since the Kennedy adminstration but we've seen how that has turned out...
