I checked out one last night for kicks. They are largely accepting of their inferiority. Not many excuses. Many are blaming coaching, mostly Tressel and the offensive schemes. Many want a new offensive coordinator. They are mad, but taking it like men, if you will. They consider this the third embarrassing big game loss in a row. They want Pryor to play more. A couple posters made it clear they did not want to see OSU make it to a decent bowl game against an SEC team.

They aren't holding up well... some are accepting that they suck, and like always, some are still in denial.

I just get depressed when I think about what it must be like to live in Ohio. Especially after another arse kicking in January.

the vest even admits he is conservative. that will never work against speedy teams. Run, run, pass, punt.

To all the Buckeye fans on our board (who are very quiet right now), I wore an OSU shirt to work last week. My Buckeye friends said for me not to do that any more. I pulled hard for you guys. My suggestion, since you are pretty much out of the NC race, is to bench Boeckman and start the Pryor era. He was impressive

We've all been on the MSB. Although I haven't seen Buckeyefan87 since game night. Also a lot of Ohio lost power yesterday due to the winds from Ike, so thats another reason why not a lot have been around...

Fans are going nuts. They want our freshmen lineman to start, Heacock to be fired, Bollman to be fired, hell some even want Tressel gone. I've read some of the craziest shite the past two days.

Personally, I just want Pryor to start. Boeckman brings nothing to the offense besides a QB who panics and sucks at hitting check downs. Pryor was the only positive on offense. USC players would try to get it his head and he'd just smile, laugh, then tap them on the helmet. There was an interesting report by Erin Andrews during the game that whenever Pryor was in the players sitting down would get up in excitement to see the outcome of each play.

Defensively, I'd love to see Heacock fired. He schemes are terrible when he faces a good offense. We have all the talent in the world, he just ruins it with terrible schemes and by hardly blitzing. Jenkins is the only one who has any emotion and actually tries to knock the ball carrier off his arse. Everyone else is soft as frick and arm tackles.

Okay I feel better now.

Not if they win out...which they SHOULD do. It sucks but it's possible.

Heacock and Bollman were not great hires in the first place and Ohio State fans were not excited about to begin with.

Like I have said before, this starting feel like the Cooper era did. The philosophy has to change and Ohio State needs to start plying like USC, LSU, and SEC teams do - less conservative and more aggressive.

This is a big forum board in Ohio.

Honestly, this team reminds me a lot of the '94 squad that lost 2 in a row (including at Northwestern and a blowout loss at Iowa). We had no running game, an overrated, immobile QB (Zwick) and a horrible OL. Sound familiar? Enter Troy Smith. His leadership and ability to scramble won us a lot of games that year and the next 2. Not to say Pryor's the savior, but we have to do better than Boeckman.

Tress is finally waking up. In his news conference yesterday he said Pryor is taking 65% of the snaps in practice, and if the game were today, he and Boeckman would split time. He also said things can change between now and Saturday, which basically means that Pryor's the man. One week too late (although USC would have still kicked our arse...just maybe not as badly).

QB situation aside, we have a LOT of issues. Poor coaching, lack of leadership, soft OL, injured RB, inexperienced DL. But it could be a lot worse...we could be Mich fans.

Here's the link to today's article in the Dispatch.

There would have to be no other one loss team. Otherwise, there is no chance they get in.
