My takeaways:
1) Max had better speed on his throws than I remember, at least later in the year.
2) Damn, he could easily have had another 6 interceptions.
3) Gilbert was a beast.
4) As a passer, not as great as I remember.
5) As bad as our offense was last year, Ole Miss was far worse. Max had all day to throw and they completely lost Boutte on several plays.

Agreed, another thing I noticed is that he needs to have better awareness of the 1st down marker. In a lot of those plays you see him check down on 3rd and long. And when he scrambled, it looks like he often goes out of bounds before getting the 1st down.

Definitely going to miss Gilbert this year. I think we all forgot how good he was after he quit and ran home.
