Anything with rice. I can't cook rice to save my life. I am actually a fairly advanced home cook. However, the next time I cook rice and don't get either a mushy mess or half cooked grains will be the first time. It's hard to articulate the many different ways I have assed-up rice. Depressing.

Damn, this is one of the easiest things to cook ever. Get a cheap rice cooker. Then, with the cup supplied, cook 1.5 to 1.

Mine would be risotto.

A method I use for rice and it never messes up. Add equal parts rice and water to a pot at the same time. Stir it (only once, that’s it). Turn the stove on high. When it boils, cover and cook on low for 25 minutes. That’s it.
