It is a bizarre and sudden turn for this gymnast.
She is an undisputed success, a tremendous gymnast. She has won just about everything and dominated the sport leading up to these Olympics.
Then she has an average performance by her standards then up and quits, citing mental instability.
I can’t help but see this as a microcosm of young American society today at large.
