Scrub, I think I get you now. You’re the smart Alec stoner lib. We could actually be friends. At concerts.

Not lib and not a stoner, but whatever.

What is your problem with Hetfield? Address my points if you think they are so off base...

What are the 3/4 best Metallica solos that were Hetfield? Genuinely curious what your picks would be. I’m a Kill Em All / Ride the Lightning type of guy so those early Hammett solos sounded so fresh back then. Still can’t get enough when the mood is right.

Master of Puppets "slow" solo. It simply doesn't get better than that. Still brings tears to this day.

To Live Is to Die - second solo

My Friend of Misery - harmonized solo

The Thorn Within - pretty sure Hetfield plays the solo

Yeah, I mean, I love that stuff too. My favorite on KEA is Am I Evil. Also on Four Horseman they do a pretty unusual thing once or twice - the play solo lines that are not harmonized but are still done simultaneously.

No Alex Skolnick? Always was a big fan of his stuff.

Yeah, he's a monster - another Joe Satriani student. His work on the song The Legacy is top shelf.
