If OU is constantly propped up as high as they typically are every season, and they win, when/if we play them, that benefits us. Provided we beat them.

It's just like playing Alabama or Florida, who are also usually ranked high. It's about who you play and who you beat.


Texas, eh, I don't see it. Not saying they're a doormat but they are typically way overhyped. For that matter, OU is as well but they've had more success than Texas.



If we don't have to play Alabama in the regular season, that helps us out. We're playing these other teams that are highly (typically) ranked. I'm wondering about any potential permanent 'rivals.' I hate having to play Florida and Alabama every year but again, it's about who you play and who you beat. See 2019.

Just win.

The rest of it will fall into place.

I cannot believe the dominant attitude on this board that ditching Bama just to make our lives easier is a good thing. I thought we were better than that. That is so incredibly lame.
