Tales from the front: Youtube censorship and disinformation

This is a :csb: but it's also indicative of how big tech is trying to promote one POV over another in public discourse
A couple of days ago I commented on a youtube video where some black preacher was railing against "whiteness" and how America is still racist. I commented that the fact that 77% of the black babies in America are born to single mothers is a far greater threat to the black community than "racism" in modern America. Another person responded to me that I should be more worried about the fact that 50% of white babies in America are born to single mothers since there are more white babies being born. I responded to him that he pulled that number out of thin air. The actual percentage of white babies born to single mothers in America is 30%, far less than half the percentage in the black community.
Within minutes youtube deleted my comment, although it was factually correct, and "highlighted" his comment, although it was disinformation.

You tube is pretty evil but he probably deleted it, not YouTube.

I doubt it's changed much but your article is from May of 2017

They just removed videos from Brazil's president due to "covid misinformation."

Censorship takes many forms. To me, the worse kind is when YT and Google index information any way they want. So, valuable info. contradictory to what government/MSM want the public to know, gets buried.
