If you have a Louisiana driver's license, you have an address you are associated with in Louisiana. The state is going to presume that is your domecile and the burden of proof is on you to establish domecile somewhere else. Good luck doing that if you still have association with that address on your driver's license, you are fighting the entity that gets to rule on what you are saying.

I've had multiple people tell me I'm wrong without providing one ounce of supporting evidence. Again, I don't give a shite, try it and see how it works out for you if you are so confident.

I lived in Houston for almost 3 years with a Louisiana ID and never payed a lick of Louisiana taxes. I didn't get a Texas license until I moved to Austin simply because my Louisiana one was expiring.

I tell my employer where my current address is, and pay taxes that align with that residence, regardless of what my drivers license says.

You're wrong here.
