I’m curious: What do you think the thoughts of those in the 1910s-1920s were of the US?

The world is a safer place when the United States has strong leadership. But if China takes the place of the United States then the inhabitants of this world will experience true pain.

Didn't happen over night.
Back in the '70s we had a politician right here in Louisiana who played a major role in giving the mainland Chinese their first major footprint here in the West, when our own Russell Long cast his vote to "pay away" the Panama Canal Treaty.
Supposedly the Chinese moved right in to having significant say-so in running it at both ends.
It was our first really disappointing introduction into how the Left and their weak dupes on the so-called Right allow them to play the "word game."
Which in this instance allowed them to rationalize that the phrase in perpetuity actually meant something other than what those words in that particular syntax, to them, only implied and couldn't be considered "written in stone."
It's been downhill ever since.

What’s truly a head scratcher is how the American Marxists have in many ways partnered with the CCP to destroy America in the name of Wokeism and diversity, yet the CCP is the epitome of a government that’s doing everything it can to keep a predominant ethnically homogeneous society.

That’s how they pulled off Covid stat padding. They own the EU
