but if dude hadnt thrown a shoe across the field this wouldnt even be a debate.

They still had to complete the drive and score. Our D was playing pretty damn tough that night, so not sure we still don’t get the WIN. Doesn’t hurt us that we have the best damn field goal kicker in College Football!

This…

doesn’t matter what coach O says to the media (for obvious reasons he isn’t going to announce). It’s going to be Max to start the season unless something crazy happens in the fall or he isn’t winning.

LSU's QB situation is in great shape and I have no clue as to who will win the battle. However, I know that whoever the second string QB is he'll immediately become the Rant's favorite QB. Just the way it is.

BTW, for those saying Florida had a top defense the fact is they were the 83rd ranked defense in the country last year. Better than LSU but not remotely a top defense. Ole Miss finished 126th. Two spots behind LSU's worse defense in school history.

Here's a link to NCAA stats that you can check any statistical category you want.

This debate is so much better than the Jefferson/Lee or Jennings/Harris or Eitling/Harris. Yet even with good QBs our fan base insists on devolving into criticisms and controversy. It’s just our nature.

Smh! Come on Man you pick they guy who had 10 years to throw and he went to Bama.

Tua, Burrow, Watson, Lawrence, Wilson, Fields. Shall I go on? Myles is a fossil when it comes to QBs. A QB with no mobility in today’s games is not going to cut it. Look at LSU current QB room and the incoming guys. Max will be the guy.

For Coach O to come out and say what he said is irresponsible. What does he have to gain by saying that? He's still learning like we all are except he gets paid millions to learn.

It's too late to transfer.

No, no it's not.

McMillan didn't transfer to Tulane until a couple of weeks before the season started.

I’m riding with whoever the starter is. We know it will be a damn good QB either way.

Brennan was playing with a season ending injury for most of the game.
Amazing that he would be on the field and even more so that he could compete with few being aware of his injury.

LSU had basically zero running game and Missouri knew it on that goal line stand.

Think about that - "zero running game" and now with the same 4-5 year in the program OL coming back and the same RBs, LSU is supposed to be a playoff team. Does another year make below to average players suddenly elite?

This team is 10-3 or 11-2 at the most… they are not as good as most on here think…..

What in the absolute frick. In NO scenario where a defense gives up 44 points and 600 yards, while the offense scores 34 can you put the blame on a single individual on the offensive side for losing the game.

Did Brennan look absolutely amazing in that game? No. It was his first college start as well, and he looked better as the weeks progressed.

I dont care which one starts, just as long as they perform, but to sit here and say that it was all on the QB in the MSU game is just a flat out trash take, and proves your level of stupidity.

Of course, one guys doesn't win/lose a football game. And there is no dispute the defense (overall) was terrible in that game. But they still forced 4 TO's and gave the offense a chance to win the game in the 4th. The offense didn't come through.

With 11:00 to go in the 4th and MSU leading 34-31, MSU fumbles the ball at their OWN 23 yard line. LSU takes over...gains exactly 1 yard...and settles for a FG. The next drive LSU somehow holds MSU to a FG. LSU gets the ball back and promptly goes 3 and out. They never threated again. The defense was shite. But they did enough in the 4th to give the offense TWO chances to take the lead. In response the offense gained 8 yards on 7 plays and scored 3 points. For his part Brennan was 1-3 for 5 yards and a sack.

Does that mean he shouldn't be the QB this year? Of course not. But it's always disingenuous to just look at numbers on paper and say this guy did great/terrible. Context matters.

Some people grew up wanting to play for a school. The kid wants to be here. Maybe he will live in LSU lore or just another kid with a degree from LSU and a framed jersey in his office. Everyone makes decisions for different reasons and have different dreams.

Max is a future 1st rounder. Myles is exceptional. We’re in a great position. Enjoy it.
