My current rig has an intel core i9-10900k + RTX 3070 with 1TB of SSD.
I just bought another rig with a i7-11700kf + RTX 3080 with 1TB SSD and the other components are pretty much the same as my current rig.
I am going to swap the GPUs in each rig. Which one should I keep and which one should I sell? I think I can get about $3,000 if I sell the i9-10900k + 3080. But I would rather keep that rig and sell the other (i7-11700kf + 3070) for 2200 which is what I paid for the new rig.

well the I9 is by definition, 2 generations better then the I7 so there is your answer
not sure where the prices are at today but i find it hard to believe a used computer will bring $1k much less over that unless it includes a big flat screen and all the accessaries

He could sell the card alone for over that, you apparently haven’t been looking at prices.

LOL what. Then you just ain't getting a good computer
You realize we are talking about gaming computers right? No a PC so you can make powerpoints and work in excel... You know what board you're on right? Hell the highest end GPU's are around 3k alone. Retail that is.

This comment is worse than your first.
A 3080fe combined with a 5600x MSRPs for $1k. That's at MSRP. Without buying any other components.
A 3070fe combined with a 5600x MSRPs for $800. It would be functionally impossible to spec out the rest of a build for $200. And while a 3070 and 5600x is a rock solid build, it's by no means "top end".
And again, this is all assuming you can get them for MSRP.
