I hear you, but the city offices are worse than you could imagine. I've hosted a pop-up at Zony for the last year and recently opened a business in New Orleans. I can tell you Zony isn't the issue here. The permits the city offers are outdated and difficult to understand. They're understaffed so there's no one to help and most calls for an update or re-definition of permits by legislatiors go unheard. Also, I've had the opportunity to deal with the revenue department for several issues: tax sale redemptions, sales tax payments and clearances. They've got two of the sweetest ladies around helping them but they're swamped and their records department undermines everything they do. It's impossible to find record of payments before the Cyber attack a few years ago and even payments paid recently go missing from the system at random. The new city hall proposed by Latoya makes you think she's the most tone deaf person in a leadership position but she's consistently outdone by her own bosses. The fact that she'll be expected to win reelection basically unopposed really makes you wonder how deep the corruption goes. I try to give the benefit of the doubt to the public when the issues are so egregious.

so your pro business, yet you think these kinds of things are ok?
A fricking promoters license? wtf, more like "PAY ME FOR THE PRIVILAGE LICENSE"
shite like this is crazy. Permits were orginally put in place to keep customers safe, i.e. food. They have turned into a fricking racket like they are the damn mafia.
frick taxes and fees and permits like this. Crazy and anti free market
