Our skyline is nothing to write home about, but the backdrop is outstanding...

It has gotten better since that pic was taken and there are 3 new high rise buildings going up at the moment.
Still, the mountains are what really impresses and one of the reasons I decided to stay here. Of course with all the west coasters moving in, it is going downhill quickly.

I'd put Anchorage in that class...
That's Denali and the Alaska Range to the West
Chugach Mts to the East
With views of the Kenai, Aleutians and the Talkeetna Mts.

I think SLC's skyline is one of my favorites because of that backdrop.
