My phucking family wants to go to Panama City Beach in August. I'm taking my clubs and plan on playing several times. What courses does the Golf Board suggest around there?

How soon in advance do I need to book a tee time?

Bay Point Nicklas Course in PCB is my favorite course on the Gulf Coast/Panhandle.

You can’t play sharks tooth unless you stay there or are invited by a member. Camp creek and windswept are both nice courses. Holiday isn’t bad. Bay point is in good shape, lots of water hazards at Bay Point so bring a few sleeves.

All will be in the 95-110 range except for camp creek

You can book a few days in advance unless you have a specific time slot in mind

No reciprocals, I told him I’d have the pro from Augusta call, gotta be with a member, they aren’t THAT good as I’ve played both before but they are usually the best condition wise in the Destin to PCB area, might leave my sticks at home this next coming week.

Windswept is in immaculate condition right now and if you play the tips it’s the toughest course in the panhandle

It really is. The greens were immaculate. Dryest course I’ve played in 6 months. It drains amazingly well.

On another note. DO NOT PLAY TIGER POINT in Pensacola right now. Greens are absolute trash and almost unplayable. No driving range, chipping green, and practice putting green is a dirt patch. Pro shop has moved to some shitty small building no with almost no merch. Also no water to drink on the course. I’ve been playing there every summer for the last 3 years and today was the last time ever for me.

This was #3 green par 3.

I played Tiger Point today and overall conditions were great. There were a few greens that certainly need some help. However the rest of the course was in nice shape!

Bro, "need some help"??? They have completely lost a few of those greens.

You must have played Tiger Point Country Club in Greencastle, IN.

No I don’t need any help and I played the Gulf Breeze Tiger Point today. Sorry you must have higher expectations than I. Conditions were good to me.

Relax man I was referring to your post that said the greens needed some help. I just found an article from March of this year that said the club was under new ownership and they were going to try and completely renovate it. so maybe that had a lot to do with it. Didn't know that when I played there a few weeks ago.

Curious, was the big main clubhouse open when you played or is it still the small little hut behind #1 tee box?

Gotcha. Small pro shop still being used. Looks like they are getting close on the clubhouse. I thought the place was shaping up and all of the facilities were clean and well kept. Even the small pro shop. Looks like a range was open. I didn’t have time for that.
