I'm confused by the claim earlier in the thread. Specifically when RN claimed there were a lot of Trumpy people standing in the way of her advancement.
Firstly that's a weird claim to make about the ESPN/Disney behemoth. Their messaging seems to pretty consistently be left of center and often far enough left to anger conservatives (and some moderates).
In that vein female reporters and hosts have been given a lot of visibility and high paying jobs even though an obsession with sports (which should relate to an interest in the job) is heavily male. This isn't controversial stuff. We know men play, watch, talk about, and post on the internet about sports much much more than women.
This just reeks of opportunism by all parties. There are million dollar jobs at stake but no one is honest enough to just say they want the job or are just better at the job.
