Yeah, I know, but their SLAM method is really like a fool proof system for dummies. The basic principal of TFP is that only 6 water parameters are worth measuring. If your TA, pH, and CYA are all correct, the only thing needed to kill any algae is shocking with free chlorine.
Algaecide, phosphate remover, none of that stuff is needed. It's just high free chlorine for an extended time. Then keep it at appropriate levels thereafter.
