Hey peeps,
I listen to local radio on my headphones while at the gym. However I am relocating to rotten Dallas so now i am looking at wireless earbuds.
I would like to leave my phone in my car while i workout. Does anyone have any recommendations om models that can pick up your phone at a few hundred feet? From my research this is the maximum distance.
Thankk you

My airpod pros work in the front yard while my phones in the back yard.

I've never had wireless headphones or earbuds that worked more than ~30 feet from my phone.

This is not a good idea. If it works, it won’t work well
Now you could stream from a cellular Apple Watch but that is a hefty investment. Or you could find an old MP3 player not sure if they even have any in production any more

Depends somewhat on which Bluetooth codec you're using. SBC is crappy quality but has the longest range. AAC (Apple-specific) has marginally higher quality and similar range. It also sounds like crap on Android devices.
The fancier, hi-fi codecs like LDAC and the various flavors of aptX will have significantly shorter range than AAC or SBC.
Bottom line: if you care mostly about range, get cheap headphones that don't support aptX or LDAC.
ETA on Android you want to make sure you're not using AAC regardless of your goal. You can do this in "Developer Options." The info is out there...

This whole post amuses me and I’m not sure why. Maybe the randomness of the question or the mystery of why the phone needs to stay in the car or the closing.
No ear buds that I know of are going to remain connected from that far away through walls etc. I’ve owned several. Leave the phone in your locker and you may have a chance.

I don’t understand how moving to Dallas is affecting your headphone game.

The entire post is a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma.
