And where I can rent kayak
Or if you want the convenience of launching at the same place you rent the kayak from, PAC Kayak Rentals

Any other hidden gems across the state ? Beautiful places with cypress trees or the castle tree ?

Bayou Barbary, launch at Pete’s landing off hwy 444. Beautiful area and great for kayaking/fishing.

I think Indian Bayou in Henderson has a “Kayak trail”. I remember seeing signs a couple years ago. Pretty cypress trees in that area.

We just took the kids to Wolf Creek in Mississippi. We rented two kayaks and a canoe to haul the gear. The current was moving at the perfect speed, and there were plenty of beaches to stop and play. 10 mile float trip, and years of memories for the kids.

It's just across the Mississippi state line at the Diamondhead exit. It was only a two hour drive from Baton Rouge.

If you don’t mind alligators Black Bayou just north of Monroe has kayaks, or at least they did pre-covid.
