He's not getting the renovations that would make the UT ballpark even middle-tier in the SEC.
UT can't pay him a what we can.
UT will lose most of their roster next year.
Delusional UT fans will demand Omaha or Bust for him.
He doesn't have any family or ties to Tennessee, and he's spent more time in this region of the country. Plus, BR >>>>>>>> Knoxville
He needs to take the damn job before he screws himself out of any possible future. Tired of Sexton telling him to hold out.

yeah i think the number was 35 million in renovations. i don't know what could be added on to what they have now, or if they'd have to tear it all down. they can get to the middle with 35 mil if they can add on, but it'll still be bad if they have to tear down the current place.
i talked about this with someone else here, Tennessee is in a bad spot. Fans are fed up with the AD, and they're rabid. If they lose Vitello, then there will be a revolt like Kiffin's move to USC brought. So I think they'll pay more than what we're willing to admit.. which is why i think Tony is playing the waiting game.
