In 2019 (choosing this due to last non-covid affected year) LSU led the nation in attendance:
1. LSU: 10,555 per game
2. Ole Miss: 8,911
3. Miss St: 8,586
4. Arkansas: 8,344
5. South Carolina: 5,998
6. Texas: 5,889
Fan support drives $ which drives salary and recruiting. There is a huge separation from LSU and the Top 4 and after the Top 4 the drop off is large. LSU also travels better than any team.
LSU occupies Tier 1 by themselves.
