Got the boat, 16 aluminum simi-v hull with a 2017 40hp 4-stroke mercury. Gonna fish a few times before I start the “build”..
On a 16’ side console boat, how far should the console be up from the stern of the boat??

No clue. Mine was a tiller steer, no console. Would have preferred a console TBH but bought it second hand with a 40 HP Tohatsu 2 stroke in 92. Fished it until about 3 years ago.
