Well, I tend to agree and do put it on me. However the way it works is this…..

If the hiring manager chooses the white male over the nom-white male then HR evaluates the resumes of both candidates. If HR believes both are equally qualified, and don’t believe the reason for choosing the white male warrants hiring, they’ll make the manager hire the non-white male.

I’ve seen this process fought before and it tied the hiring manager up for 3 months. They folded ultimately. So all managers just fold now and it’s known.
