Yes indeed. Giving money to those in need is what I call “planting seeds.”
As long as your heart is in the right place and you are generous with what the good Lord blesses you with, you will never ever have to worry about “making ends meet.”
What goes around, really does come back around. I fully believe that.

be generous with your neighbors whether that is money, time or just kindness. It will come back to you 20-fold

To me the only benefit of being in a crummy job you hate is the money it pays allows you to enjoy other aspects of life or retire early. If you give the money away then you are in a job that makes you miserable with no extra money. That’s what makes people happy?
