If it was me and they didn’t have what I really wanted for 12 weeks or so, I’d buy a cheapo just to get by with until the one I really wanted was available.

Agreed. Our Electrolux refrigerator was a piece of junk.

There are long lead times on many appliances right now. We are building right now and everything we ordered appliance wise was 1-3 months out.

Similar experience here. Replaced our fridge a few years back, and ordered from a place in Missouri. Friend had told me about them after he ordered a fridge, dishwasher, and wall oven for an older house they had moved into. No sales tax and free delivery, but it took a few weeks even back then. I think from my order date to getting the fridge in 2018 was right at 4 weeks.

Our dishwasher was acting up and I ordered a Maytag to replace it, to match the fridge we have now, and it took forever to ship. Everything was on backorder, even at Lowe's, Home Depot, and a few local appliance places I checked. Since I was going to have to wait anyway, I ordered from them again to save some money. When it finally arrived, it was damaged. Didn't notice at first because the insulation was covering the damaged spot. Now I'm having to deal with returning it. Thankfully one of the Lowe's in the Birmingham area had a couple in stock, and it is getting delivered today.
