Mine both died in their early 70's when I was 38. Their illnesses only lasted four months and six months.
It was a shock to loose them when I was that young, but they and I were spared the horror of dementia (which I saw with my inlaws).
We have got to begin to understand that death happens and probably shouldn't always be interfered with.
