Anyone else picked Rahm and sent in their entry?

Yep, mailed it Wednesday morning. Any idea how to claim my driver?

Congrats!

From The Rules -

quote:

Following the conclusion of the U.S. Open, if the Callaway Staffer you selected won, you will be a potential winner, subject to verification of your eligibility and compliance with the terms of these Official Rules, including if you entered via the Mail-In Entry, claiming your prize by July 15th, 2021 at 11:59 pm PT (“Final Claim Date”). Odds of winning depends on the outcome of the U.S. Open. If a Callaway Staffer does not win or if the tournament is postponed or cancelled, no prizes will be awarded. Official results of the 2021 U.S. Open Golf Tournament shall be those declared by the USGA Tournament Committee. If a prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, a potential winner fails to provide the original receipt (if requested by Sponsor), or a potential winner fails to claim the prize by the Final Claim Deadline or is not in compliance with these rules, prize will be forfeited.

6. PRIZES: a. WINNERS WHO PURCHASED A PROMOTIONAL ITEM AND ENTERED ON-LINE shall receive one (1) Dick’s Sporting Goods/Golf Galaxy gift card with a retail value of $586.

b. WINNERS WHO PARTICIPATED BY MAIL-IN ENTRY shall receive one (1) Callaway Epic Speed driver, Epic MAX driver, or Epic MAX LS driver of their choice, subject to availability; winner’s specifications not guaranteed. The retail value of each driver is $530 + tax (up to $586). Prize redemption instructions will be emailed within thirty (30) days after verification as a prize winner.

It looks like they will notify you - probably using the email address you provided. They'll then send you instructions within 30 days. I'm going to write Dick's tomorrow to see.

Just a guess - since there was one entry per address and you have to be 18, I'm guessing they'll require you to send a copy of your driver's license or some other proof of your age/identity. I've entered this contest and the Taylormade contest in the past but I don't recall a company ever having to award any prizes for one of their sponsored players winning.

I just read the rules as well, and I saw that's how they'll notify us. The fine print also states they have to receive it by Wednesday, June 23, and that submissions will not be acknowledged or returned, and proof of sending in an entry doesn't constitute proof they received it. Seems like an easy way for them to get out of having to give away a bunch of drivers to people who entered via this manner. Hopefully we hear from them soon.

If they make the claim that they didn't receive an entry too many times to too many people, it will look really suspicious. And, although the rules were very misleading, I have to guess that the vast majority of people who did enter via snail mail picked either Xander Shauffle or Jon Rahm. Those were the only two I really considered.

My biggest worry is simply that the US mail is incompetent. But, I did stand in line and watch the post office lady postmark my envelope/entry. The PO lady was friendly and chatty and I even told her why I was mailing that envelope.

ETA: Found THIS SITE - Apparently Phil Mickelson won a tournament about 15 years ago when there was a promotion and people got their club in about 8-10 weeks (see pg. 2). I'm also guessing that Callaway and/or Dick's took out an insurance policy to at least cover their costs so they have no reason to screw people.
