Similar for me with tomato, cucumber and finely chopped garlic, salt, pepper, olive oil and vinegar and let it sit overnight to enjoy the next day.
Tomato sandwiches are a must in the summer when garden fresh tomatoes are coming in. Wheat bread toasted, nice slathering of mayo, thick slabs of tomato, salt and pepper for the win.

Never thought to put garlic in there, I'll try it this weekend. In addition to the vinegar/oil and spices, I also add lemon thyme from the garden
