Last night it looked like 2 pretty evenly matched teams, but we should have went at least another inning with Hilliard with just a 1-run lead and him absolutely cruising on the road. Also, we need at least contact from guys like Morgan, Beloso and Thompson. You can't expect to win close games against a good team with those guys getting that many strikeouts.
LSU outhit Tennessee and played decent, but the 6th inning was the only issue. The situational awareness was not good. We shouldn't have been conceding any runs in that close of a game and should have tried to go home on a normal grounder to 3rd. That seems like something the coach would have made clear. Also, it didn't help that the ump's strike zone disappeared for like two batters with a new pitcher in there.
