Puts it away for the LSU title
Domination by the LSU athletes, loved watching Burrell and JuVaughn Harrison after the win

Damn!
I love the nickname. Hope he loves it as much as I do.

He absolutely smoked that race. PR’d by a whole second and even if he didn’t he might have won. That was probably the most impressive individual performance of the night IMO

Watch the SEC championship race and how he got 2nd and then watch this. The young man worked his tail off since then. Congratulations to him. Well earned.

Fricking stud.
I don't know much about this sport but he looked outa control a bit. I would think he only get faster and fast I mean holy crap he isn't even 20 yet is he?

Congrats Squirrel!! 5:43 mark…“I came to LSU for a reason, to be a hometown hero.” This is what I love about college athletics.

That was so much fun to watch. His joy to win and contribute as a freshman was contagious and his running style is... unconventional. Squirrel!

Correct. He set the U20 world record 2nd all time at LSU, and 4th fastest ever in collegiate history

Such a great race. He blew out the field. Nicely done!

quote:as much as the 43 400 was impressive by Ross, you kinda knew he had that in him considering the monster his dad was, but this by Burrell was a “WOW” moment of the championship for me. It made sense why he is capable of improving with experience in the 110 and 400 M, but to do it in arguably the most difficult sprint in the meet is just crazy. He has a legitimate shot at the WR should he continue to progress.

To put this into context, the great Edwin Moses’ fastest time (WR) was 47.02. Now we know the track surfaces, shoes, etc have changed, but still.
WOW.

Great race! pisses me off ESPN again focuses on their choices and again as usual they are wrong!

LOVED the way TV people FEATURED the A&M and UT runners before the race and then both shite the stick in the race, especially the UT hurdler.

That was awesome to watch. Thanks.

It happens. Look at what happened to Williams in the 110. Same thing. The top professional athletes in T&F are those that do not have let downs. They are steady and do just enough to get to the right position on the track in the finals.

Watched him at state track meet every year. His event was the 400 meter in high school. He got bumped to the hurdles because LSU already had two guys in the 400 that were probably a little better. Good thing he embraced the hurdles. Imagine being ncaa champion as a freshman.
