This is the problem. Base amount of ingredients on amount of water, not the amount of crawfish.

Mainly, I don’t see the point of adding fat, of any amount, to a boil. The onions seems like major overkill but not that they would hurt anything. I questioned the entire liquid boil but the last boil we did we did the pro boil and some liquid boil (not as much as this) and it wasn’t spicy enough for any of us so maybe it’s not too much, after all.
