Last week my ten month old came down with RSV. He was down hard for a couple days with high fever and blue fingers a few times. He’s completely back to normal other than antibiotics for an ear infection.
Doctor confirmed RSV not COVID. Initially I read that adults basically see nothing from it.
Well I’ve had very mild sinus symptoms for a day or two. Tonight I felt some general body aches. Chalked it up to old age and moving, chasing kids, etc.
Then tonight I wake up from a dead sleep with uncontrollable chills and shivers. Low grade fever. Only way to stop shaking was sweat shirt sweatpants and heating pad. Fell asleep for a few more hours. Cant rest anymore but I feel a bit more stable.
Anecdotally I know several others who have come down with something like COVID that isn’t COVID. Anyone else get rocked here recently when your kids got RSV. I guess it could be COVID but it’s just logical to be RSV because my sons daycare was eat up with it. I genuinely didn’t think it was supposed to rock an adult like this. I did see a few articles about RSV surging right now.
I've gotten a couple of severe colds since we've sent the kiddo to daycare. No chills but I think since things are opening back up, the cold virus is picking up quite a bit.
