Im no GC but i think pole barn framing is based on the columns being embedded in the ground to resist lateral loads. Knee bracing at the top of the columns helps too. Neither of these are shown in the 6-ply-top-plate-header-sandwich photos. Looks like they used simpsonish column bases which the install instructions warn “...column bases do not provide adequate resistance to prevent rotation about the base...” Someone should warn the owner not to stand under it when the wind picks up
