He chose a shitty contractor to contract it out to so yea it’s a reflection of his company.
Dealing with construction contractors is toward the top of my things I hate list. Large reputable companies are ok but there are some shitty independent ones out there. Even ones who do good work are still hard to deal with

It's pretty up there for me as well. It just attracts the worst kinds of people. I always feel like they are trying to screw me in someway. Same feelings I have for car sales people.
