I am not at the point of needing surgery yet. I am still very mobile and the hip pain is not to bad. I have talked to a couple of folks in the ortho field and one told me its a blood flow issue to the hip socket area and another said it could be a deposit of air on the hip joint.

Blood flow issue in the hip is typically Avascular Necrosis which causes the femoral head (the ball of your hip joint) to deteriorate. Even if you don’t need surgery those guys would do a good job checking you out. Also, if it’s some sort of Labral tear, Craft at that same facility is great with hip scopes. Hope you get some good news whoever you choose.

If it’s a labral tear or mild arthritis then it may be amenable to no surgical options such as steroid shots, physical therapy, or platelet rich plasma shots (for arthritis not the labral tear).
