The US is going along with it too, our government doesn’t want the truth to be told because then that would force their hand and we’d have to do something. Instead a fake investigation will be done and China and the US will both arrive at the same fake conclusion. Maybe clumsy lab workers that contracted it in nature, but NOT that China manufactured it and it got loose somehow

Could also be possible that folks like Fauci are determined to run cover for China in this regard, the quid pro quo being that in turn China will run cover for him (i.e. not rat him out) in terms of the allegations that he had a much more direct hand in and knowingly contributed to what he knew or should have known was wholly inappropriate and irresponsible research at the lab.
The question would then become whether this U.S. government also has a stake in keeping Fauci clean, and I believe the answer to that is yes, this government perhaps having become aware of Fauci's negligent actions and did nothing about it, they now have incentive to keep him clean as well. Especially considering how much they've deferred to him on all things covid-19.
