Not from my experience. Blue Jays are big and will run birds off, but I've never been dive bombed by a Blue Jay because it was a such an a-hole it made it's nest 4 feet from my front door in a god damned bush, or seen them going after crows or even hawks in the air. It's mostly a Blue Jay will show up, and everybody gets the frick out.
Hell...I've got a blue bird house in my back yard and those little guys are awesome, and even THOSE GUYS who don't bother any of the birds get harassed by mockingbirds. It's like they're dicks just to be dicks.
And now I feel like an old man for not only knowing all this from having watched it in my backyard, but caring enough to type it all out.
