I always go to China Star near albertsons for chinese food. Does anyone know of a better place? I love the usual suspects: orange chicken, sesame chicken, sesame beef, honey chicken etc etc.

Unfortunately there are no real Chinese food restaurants in BR that I know of. Nothing but American-ized food. If ever in Houston, hit up Chinatown for the real thing. Most of the "Chinese" food that people like in America, doesn't even exist in China. I frequent Spicy Sichuan on Bellaire in Houston.

Will hit it up if im in the area. but I need to qwell a huge chinese food craving right now and I'm in BR. Plus I like to let more than one place get my business. I've been going to China Star once a week for a year now.

When I was in school there was a place I would go to, I don't remember the name though. It was on College in the same Shopping Center as Wal-Mart and next to Radio Shack. It is a buffet and we ate our arse off for cheap (~$8).

Hunan isn't bad. BTR basically sucks for Chinese.

Wanna tell me where I can find it????
Thanks to everyone else for the sweet suggestions. I will try each and every one.
Anything particularly special about any of these places? For instance China Star has the best sesame beef, China Taste (on highland near Gardere) has the best hot and sour soup +orange chicken.

If you do let me know. After living in San Francisco I can't stand anything BR has to offer for Chinese food.

I have a friend who owns a very successful Chinese restaurant in Baton Rouge...I asked him where HE goes to eat food like he had back in China and he told me.....Dim Sum on Delcourt right off Airline.....I've never been, but that's what I was told....

Owners of Chinese restaurants tend to be something other than Chinese
